Marine Day 2008 - Osprey Quay, Portland
Introduction
Marine Day has been organised in direct response to the need to promote Weymouth and Portland’s growing reputation as a centre for marine excellence. Incorporated as part of the Open4Business 2008 fortnight of business events which are following the theme of ‘Maximising the Opportunity of 2012’
Marine Day aims to attract industry representatives and businesses throughout the south west interested in the opportunities the borough provides, young people thinking about future careers in the marine industry, and also members of the local organisations who would like to find out more about local marine developments in the run up to the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
